Boltactic
Terms of use
This draft prepares the rules for using the free game. Outstanding decisions must be settled before these terms are presented as final.
Updated: November 3, 2026
The service
Boltactic lets you build and program robots, train, play online and view rankings. Some features require an account; the game is still in development.
- Supported countries and access conditions
- Boltactic serves an international audience and is not restricted to French residents. The service is operated from France; mandatory protections applicable to players in their country remain preserved. Access is subject to local legal restrictions and, for future sales, the countries actually supported by the seller and provider. A supported language does not establish local distribution approval or enable purchases in every country. International payments are not currently enabled.
Minors and service access
The current form requires a minimum age of 16. This technical threshold alone does not establish lawful access for minors in every country. The age policy and any parental authorisations still require review.
- Age policy and parental authorisation
- Accounts are for people aged at least 16 who may legally use the service in their country. Minors must have their legal representative’s authorisation where required for this agreement. Real-money purchases are restricted to people aged at least 18 with the legal capacity and age of majority required in their country; no parental purchase flow for a minor’s account is planned at launch. Identity documents are not routinely requested. A declared age and a payment method are not conclusive proof of adulthood.
Account and conduct
Protect your credentials and choose respectful usernames and robot names. Illegal content, impersonation, harassment, cheating and attempts to access other people's data are prohibited.
Reports, moderation and appeals
- Report content or conduct
- contact@boltactic.com
- Moderation procedure, reasons for measures and ways to appeal
- Illegal content, threats, harassment, discrimination, disclosure of private data, deceptive impersonation, result fraud and abusive exploitation of vulnerabilities are prohibited. Programming robots and optimising strategy remain allowed. Depending on severity and repetition, measures include a warning, name change or removal, restriction, temporary suspension or exclusion. Urgent protection may precede full review. Decisions state their reason, scope and duration; a free appeal can be sent to the site contact for human review. Statutory appeal periods and purchase rights remain preserved. Reports must identify the content and facts; no round-the-clock moderation is promised.
Virtual currencies and rewards
Bolts, prediction tokens, XP and cosmetics are game elements. In the current version they cannot be bought with real money, transferred between players or converted into money; the site offers no payments.
Purchases, subscriptions, rewards with monetary value or transfers between players would require a prior review of these documents and applicable rules.
Intellectual property
- Ownership and licences for text, code, artwork, audio and fonts
- Original Boltactic elements are protected to the extent the publisher holds the rights. Third-party libraries, fonts and assets remain subject to their licences; no exclusive ownership of them is claimed. Players retain any rights they hold in their content and grant only the non-exclusive permission necessary to store, synchronise, execute it in battles and display it in game features, in the territories served and for the period needed for those features. This does not authorise publishing private rules or unrestricted advertising reuse. An idea, strategy or name does not automatically have exclusive protection.
Game changes and player rights
Boltactic is in development. Updates may change balance and features. Important changes and planned maintenance are announced where possible; players’ statutory rights remain preserved. Planned closure is notified reasonably in advance, aiming for at least 30 days where possible without reducing a more protective legal or contractual period. Purchase entitlements and data requests are addressed before closure.
- Applicable law, complaints handling and mediation where applicable
- First send a written complaint to the site contact, describing the facts and requested resolution. We aim to provide a reasoned response within a reasonable time, without limiting statutory deadlines for data requests or purchases. French law governs the agreement without removing consumers’ applicable mandatory protections in their country. Consumers are not required to use Marseille courts exclusively. The competent mediator’s details appear in the Consumer mediation section when provided. Mediation is available under the applicable legal conditions following an initial complaint.
Consumer mediation
For any complaint, please first write to us at contact@boltactic.com.
In accordance with the French Consumer Code, if we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction, you may use a consumer mediation procedure, free of charge, with:
